Saudi soccer team ties with England at Wembley

The national soccer team of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia tied with the England team in a friendly match today at Wembley Stadium in London.   The goal-less match, which is within the framework of preparations for World Cup 1998 in France, was attended by Prince Sultan Ibn Fahd Ibn Abdul Aziz, Vice-President for Youth Welfare and Deputy Chairman of the Saudi Football Federation, who congratulated the Saudi players on their performance, remarking that during the second half especially, they were the equal of the founders of the sport.
