During the Cairo International Fair scheduled for March, 1999, there will take place the second meeting of Arab women in business, under the theme: 'Toward an Arab Common Market'. Saudi Arabia, as one of the most important economies in the Middle East, is fundamental to a strong common market, and the aim of the meeting is to support Arab businesswomen and help them balance their careers with their traditional roles. It is hoped that a federation of Arab businesswomen will be established, with the support of the League of Arab States. Ms. Khadija Abdullah Abdulrahman, a Saudi businesswoman and owner of 'Top Kitchens', regards the upcoming meeting as a good chance to expose the progress of the Saudi economy and also for women in business in Saudi Arabia to make contacts with their counterparts in Egypt.
