King Fahd leaves hospital in good health

A statement from the Royal Court has announced that Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd Ibn Abdul Aziz left the King Faisal Specialist Hospital yesterday evening after undergoing gallbladder surgery last week. Before leaving the hospital, he held a reception, attended by Crown Prince Abdullah Ibn Abdul Aziz, Deputy Prime Minister and Commander of the National Guard;  present was the medical team which had treated King Fahd, who thanked them for their good work and wished them well.
King Fahd also expressed his thanks and appreciation to the heads of state and senior officials of Arab, Islamic and friendly countries for their concern and good wishes while he was in hospital.  The King also expressed gratitude for the sincere love and affection displayed by the faithful Saudi people, and issued instructions to the Interior Minister to pardon a number of prisoners to mark the occasion of his leaving the hospital in good health.
