The Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Canberra, Australia, has finalized arrangements to celebrate the upcoming centennial by preparing books and magazines for distribution to a large number of universities and cultural centers. Invitations have been sent to the distinguished personalities and academicians to attend a reception to be hosted by the embassy on the occasion of the completion of one hundred Hijrah years since the event [the taking of the Masmak Fortress in Riyadh in 1902] that led to the founding of the Modern Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Saudi Ambassador to Australia Mohammad Ibn Ibrahim Al-Hujeilan described these celebrations as a great event, saying they remind the nation's sons of the course of action undertaken by its leader and found, King Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, who came out of exile in Kuwait, conquered Riyadh, and began to build up and unify the country.
