New King Fahd Gulf cultural prize announced

President of Youth Welfare and Chairman of the Saudi Football Federation Prince Faisal Ibn Fahd Ibn Abdul Aziz, who has just returned from Kuwait where he attended the Seventh Conference of the GCC Ministers of Culture, announced today the launch of a new cultural prize for citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council member states, in the name of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd Ibn Abdul Aziz Al-Saud. The prize will be managed by a committee comprised of Saudi Undersecretary for Youth Affairs Dr. Saleh Ibn Nasser; Kuwait's Secretary-General of the National Council for Culture, Arts and Literature Dr. Mohammed Ghanem Al-Rimaihi; UAE's Director of Culture at the Ministry of Information and Culture Sheikha Meisoon Al-Qasemi; Bahrain's Assistant Undersecretary for Culture and National Heritage Dr. Abdullah Ibn Abdulrahman Beitem; Oman's Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture Sheikh Mohammed Ibn Ahmed Al-Harithi; and Qatar's Director of Culture and the Arts at the Ministry of information Mubarak Al-Khalifa.
