King Fahd receives U.S. Secretary of State Albright

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd Ibn Abdul Aziz received at his office at Al-Salamah Palace in Jeddah yesterday, U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and her accompanying delegation.  The audience was attended by Crown Prince Abdullah Ibn Abdul Aziz, Deputy Prime Minister and Commander of the National Guard, Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Saud Ibn Fahd Ibn Abdul Aziz, Deputy Chief of General Intelligence, Prince Bandar Ibn Sultan Ibn Abdul Aziz, Ambassador of the Kingdom to Washington DC, U.S. Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Wyche Fowler, and a number of members of the royal court and the Council of Ministers.

Later, Crown Prince Abdullah received Secretary Albright and her accompanying delegation at an audience attended by Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Prince Bandar, Minister of State Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Khweiter, and U.S. Ambassador Fowler.   Secretary Albright also met with Prince Saud Al-Faisal for talks that reviewed the cooperative relations between their two friendly nations, and ways of enhancing them.  They also discussed the current situation in the Middle East and how to reactivate the peace process in order to secure a comprehensive and just peace in the region.  Also attending this meeting were Rihab Ibn Muhammad Ibrahim Masood, Advisor at the Saudi Embassy in Washington, and Dennis Ross, U.S. Coordinator for the Peace Process.
