Saudi Arabia attends atomic energy conference

Saudi Arabia's permanent representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency Ambassador Isa Al-Noweiser, in a speech at the 41st session of the IAEA General Assembly in Vienna, expressed the Kingdom's concern that the Middle East region be free from weapons of mass destruction and underscored the importance of disarmament from all lethal weapons.   He went on to urge the international community to put pressure on Israel, the only country in the Middle East which has nuclear installations, to join the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
