SAA announces agreement with American United

Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAA) announced today that it has concluded an agreement with United Airlines of the United States of America for cooperation between the two carriers as from February 18, 1997. The agreement is aimed at facilitating passenger transport between Jeddah and Los Angeles via JFK Airport in New York. SAA, the largest airline in the Middle East, has a modern 114-plane fleet operating to over sixty destinations worldwide. United is the world's largest air carrier, with 2,200 flights a day. The two companies are cooperating fully in the provision of all possible facilities including ground services, technical assistance and reservations. They have given assurances that adequate seats will be available on this route, and expressed confidence that the agreement will provide an important service for passengers of both carriers.
