Saudi Arabia cements relations with Senegal

Commerce Minister Osama Faqih today highlighted the fraternal relations that exist between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Senegal. Prior to his departure from Dakar after the first session of the Saudi-Senegalese Joint Commission, Minister Faqih said he had conveyed to President Abdou Diouf the greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz and of Crown Prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Prime Minister and Commander of the National Guard. He noted that a number of Saudi companies had already started to make contacts to export their products to Senegal, adding that there is also a possibility for the import of Senegalese fruits, leather, and other items. Referring to an existing agreement to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the area of culture and information, he said that the Saudi Information Ministry is making it possible for personnel from Senegalese television to obtain training courses.
