Prince Sultan awarded environment trophy

Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz, Second Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector-General, who is also Chairman of the Ministerial Committee on the Environment, received at his office today Muhammad Al-Nathir Al-Ohaimir, Secretary-General of the Arab Youth and Environment Union, who presented to Prince Sultan the Union's trophy as 'The Arab World's Man of the Environment' for 1996, in recognition of his constant efforts to maintain the environment and wildlife in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The presentation was attended by Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal, who stated afterwards that the trophy recognizes not only the great efforts being made by Prince Sultan but also the support given by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz and Crown Prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz. In addition, Prince Sultan has been named among the world's top ten environmental activists because of his determination to save the earth, and his effective contribution to the environment and wildlife protection throughout the world. Prince Saud went on to express his pride that the Kingdom's industrial establishments implement international standards for combating pollution and protecting the environment.
