Saudi stock market thriving

The Saudi stock market is now number one in the Arab world in terms of the total street value of the companies involved, amounting to 48.3 percent of the total street value of Arab companies estimated to be worth U.S. $ 85 billion.  The number of joint-stock companies listed in the Arab financial markets reached 1,081 in 1995, and the value of circulation during the same year went up to U.S. 14.96 billion, or 42.3 percent more than that of 1994, estimated at U.S. $ 10.51 billion.
