Shura Council ends first four-year term
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd Ibn Abdul Aziz has sent the following letter to Chairman of the Shura Council Sheikh Muhammad Ibn Ibrahim Ibn Jubair:

"On the occasion of the end of the first term of the Shura Council and the formation of the second, we would like to express to you and all the members of the council our thanks for the honest efforts exerted by all of you over the past four years. To all brothers whose membership has been completed, we would like to convey our greetings, our appreciation of their effective participation in the work of the Council and its committees, and our hope that, God willing, they will continue to exert their efforts in other fields in the service of their religion and their nation. As for the new members of the Council, we would like to assure them of our good wishes for success in their efforts and in their participation in the work of the Council and its committees during the second term. We seek God's help and blessing on our endeavors for the welfare of our nation and the greatness of our country in highlighting the affairs of Islam and all Muslims."
Chairman of the Shura Council Sheikh Muhammad Ibn Ibrahim Ibn Jubair today presided over the final meeting of the fourth session of the first four-year term of the Consultative Council (Majlis Al-Shura), and praised its members for their contributions to the country and its citizens during their term of office, saying that they had tackled issues over the past four years in an objective manner through discussions of the highest standard taking into consideration full awareness of what best benefits their country and its citizens. The council went on to review the accomplishments of the term, and completed discussion on issues on its working agenda including a report from the chairman of the committee for services and public utilities.
