Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd Ibn Abdul Aziz, at today’s Cabinet meeting held at Al-Yammah Royal Place, called on the leaders, governments and people of the Islamic Nation to unify their ranks and vision within the framework of fraternity, passion, cooperation and solidarity to realize that they are the best Nation ever.  The King also called on the Islamic countries to further expand the common factors of religion, history, heritage, future and mutual interests.  The King stated that this Nation and even all the nations should not reach piety unless they follow the same path of its predecessors who gave the say to the rule of the Holy Qur'an and deeds and sayings of Prophet Muhammad and return to the correct pure faith of Islam.

Following the meeting, Information Minister Dr. Fouad Al-Farsi said that King Fahd expressed appreciation to the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Mohammed Hosni Mubarak and the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani for the spirit of fraternity they demonstrated during their meeting with him in Riyadh last Wednesday that led to the full restoration of cordial relations between the two Arab countries.  Also, the King commended OPEC’s decision to raise its oil production to 27.5 mbd.  In this respect, the King asserted the concern of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to realize equilibrium in the international oil markets in terms of offer and demand, price rates and oil supply, in its capacity as a key resource of world energy.
