Prince Bandar interviewed for Jordanian Television

His Royal Highness Prince Bandar Bin Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz, Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to the United States of America, in an interview which was aired yesterday on Jordanian television, reiterated the Kingdom’s commitment to support and assist the Palestinian cause, saying:  “Ever since its unification, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has backed Palestinian choices and given support to whatever had been agreed upon by our Palestinian brothers.”  Criticizing the stance of the present Israeli government as “highly negative”, he stressed that the bloody events that had been forced upon the Palestinian people in Jerusalem are not acceptable and would generate dangerous consequences in the region.  Prince Bandar added that the latest four-leader summit in Washington DC was necessary, in order to secure a continuing United States involvement in the implementation of all commitments and agreements concluded under its auspices and guarantees.  The Saudi Ambassador expressed hope that this summit would have positive results in serving the interests of the Arab countries in general and the Palestinian people in particular.
