The King Fahd Islamic Cultural Center, the largest Islamic project in South America, is now under construction in the city of Buenos Aires in Argentina, a gift from the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. The Muslim community in Argentina has expressed its appreciation for this center, which will cost U.S. $25 million and have a space of 33,000 square meters. There will be a mosque to accommodate one thousand worshippers; an educational complex with kindergarten, primary, junior and high schools; playgrounds; a lecture hall; and hostels for students coming from all over South America to learn Arabic and study the Holy Qur'an.
