Yesterday, on his arrival in Damascus for the official visit, he emphasized that the tripartite summit was being held for the sake of a just and legitimate peace, and to prove to the entire peace-loving world that "we are heralds of peace but with no surrender or retreat", adding that the will for peace derives from the understanding of peace in Arab and Islamic values and traditions, and from the historic right and determination of Arab and Islamic states which always advocate peace, justice, love and dignity. Crown Prince Abdullah also expressed sincere hopes that the fear dominating the land of the Prophets and of Heavenly Messages would be dispersed and that peace and security would be set up instead, a matter that could never be attained by brute force or unlawful seizure of legitimate rights, saying: "We want peace and security for others as we want it for our own people, because security can only be realized through peace and justice. On the other hand, the excessive language of force can only reproduce itself. We have come here, and with us the Arab Nation expressing its hopes and dreams for peace, ready to protect peace and defend it with every legitimate right."
