The Jeddah-based Islamic Development Bank (IDB) has announced plans for investment conferences to be held during the month of September in the four Central Asian Islamic republics of Azerbeijan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrghz, with a view to exploring the possibilities in those countries for boosting economic and trade cooperation.

In a separate development, an international conference on ‘Values and Trends in Science and Technology’ will be held in Kuala Lumpur under the auspices of the IDB and the International Islamic University of Malaysia to study problems related to the development of science and technology in the Islamic world and explore constructive solutions.
