Telethon for Bosnia a huge success

HRH Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, Governor of Riyadh Province and Chairman of the Supreme Commission for the Collection of Donations for Bosnian Muslims today announced that the final accounting of donations collected during the Campaign for Solidarity with Bosnian Muslims sponsored by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud and carried out in a telethon on Friday, August 11, shows a figure of SR 405,621,237 (well over $100 million). In addition, there are many donations of gold, jewelry, clothes and medical supplies, as well as food, and details of the value of these will be announced later. Prince Salman praised the excellent response of the citizens to the King's call for solidarity with the Bosnian people, and expressed thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and to all who made donations, urging them to continue to contribute to the support of their Bosnian brothers by depositing donations in the dedicated account available in all the major banks.
