Saudi Aid to Pakistan and Afghanistan

The total amount of donations announced by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan and Afghanistan is SR 27,673,301,921 [$7,379,547,178]. The breakdown is as follows:

The total amount of loans and aid given to Pakistan by Saudi Arabia is SR 26,083,711,496 [$6.95 billion]. Between 2006 and 2009, Pakistan received SR 5,702,597,325 [$1.52 billion] in loans and aid, including SR 2,625,000,000 [$700 million] pledged at the donor conference in Tokyo on April 17, 2009.

The total amount of aid provided or pledged to Afghanistan since 2001 is approximately SR 1,589,590,425 [$429 million]. Between 2006 and 2009, Saudi Arabia provided Afghanistan SR 701,269,908 [$187 million] in aid, including $150 million pledged at the London Conference on January 28, 2010.
