September 26, 2008

The Supreme Judicial Council has called on Muslims in Saudi Arabia to look for the new crescent moon for the lunar month of Shawwal on Monday, September 29.

The Council urged those who see the new crescent moon to report their sighting to the nearest court or inform the concerned authorities at the governorate of their province.

The new moon will mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan and the beginning of the Eid Al-Fitr celebration.
