Ambassador offers allegiance-pledge to Deputy Crown Prince Muqrin

The Saudi Embassy in Washington opened a record book yesterday for those wishing to pledge allegiance to Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz as Deputy Crown Prince.
In his own name and on behalf of the employees of the embassy, its consulates, and affiliated offices, as well as Saudi citizens in the United States, Saudi Ambassador to the U.S. Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir expressed his congratulations and allegiance-pledge to Prince Muqrin. In a statement, he said, “The selection of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and the support of Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense for Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud as Deputy Crown Prince comes within the framework of the Islamic Sharia, on which the Kingdom has been founded since its Founder Late King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al-Saud, considering it as an additional block in support of the foundations of the security and stability enjoyed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and in continuation of the achievements for the prosperity of its people under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince.”
The record book will be open until Friday.
